In contrast to seed mixtures, pellets contain: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a balanced composition of nutrients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sufficient vitamins and minerals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>less chance of selective eating behavior<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Seed mixtures may seem attractive, but many birds only eat their favorite seeds \u2014 resulting in nutritional deficiencies.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is Harrison\u2019s currently difficult to obtain?<\/h3>\n\n<p>At the moment, we see that Harrison\u2019s is temporarily sold out at many Dutch suppliers. This is likely related to: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>import and distribution issues from the United States<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>stricter regulations regarding animal ingredients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>limited stock at European importers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>It is therefore not a quality issue, but a logistical challenge.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can you do if your bird eats Harrison\u2019s?<\/h3>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Stay with the same feed if possible<\/h4>\n\n<p>Suddenly changing diet can cause stress and health problems.<\/p>\n\n<p>Good news:<br\/>We currently still have a limited stock of Harrison\u2019s pellets available through a European supplier.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f Please feel free to contact us regarding availability or reservations.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Do you have to switch? Do so gradually <\/h4>\n\n<p>Slowly mix the new feed into the old:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>days 1\u20133: 75% old \/ 25% new<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>days 4\u20137: 50% \/ 50%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>day 8+: further reduce old feed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Pay close attention to:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>appetite<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>weight<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>droppings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. In doubt? Let us assist you <\/h4>\n\n<p>Every bird is different. Age, species, and health play a major role. <\/p>\n\n<p>We therefore offer:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>personalized nutritional advice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>guidance during the transition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>monitoring of weight and condition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important: avoid panic changes<\/h3>\n\n<p>We understand that it is stressful when a trusted feed suddenly becomes difficult to obtain. However, a rushed transition is often riskier than searching for a proper solution. <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In conclusion<\/h3>\n\n<p>We are closely monitoring the situation regarding Harrison\u2019s.
