Terms and conditions

1. Applicability

These terms apply to all agreements between you and Veterinary Clinic Zoo Bijzonder. Deviations are only valid if agreed upon in writing. Any general terms and conditions of the client do not apply.

2. Appointments and treatment

An agreement is established as soon as an appointment is confirmed or treatment has commenced.
Our veterinarians perform treatments to the best of their knowledge and expertise. Treatments are an obligation of means; a specific result or cure cannot be guaranteed.
The Veterinary Clinic may refuse or terminate a treatment if it is not medically meaningful or if mutual trust has been seriously compromised.

3. Client responsibility

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information about your animal, including previous conditions, medication, and allergies.
You remain responsible for following advice, aftercare, and the behavior of your animal. Any damage caused by the animal remains the responsibility of the owner.

4. Medications and administration

When prescribing, supplying, or administering veterinary medicines, the client remains responsible for correct use and compliance with legal regulations.
If medication is administered (in part) by yourself or by third parties, this is done under your own responsibility.

5. Termination of treatment

Treatment ends upon completion, upon the death of the animal, or when the treatment is terminated prematurely by you or by the Veterinary Clinic.
In the event of premature termination, the work already performed and costs incurred will be charged.

6. Rates and payment

The applicable rates can be requested at the reception desk or via the website.
In principle, payment must be made immediately after treatment, unless otherwise agreed.
For payment by invoice, a payment term of 14 days applies. In the event of late payment, statutory interest and collection costs may be charged.
Veterinary Clinic Zoo Bijzonder may require a down payment in certain cases.

7. Cancellation or no-show

Appointments can be canceled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours prior to the appointment.
In the event of cancellation within 24 hours or a no-show, the Veterinary Clinic may charge a fee.

8. Complaints

Do you have a complaint? Please contact us as soon as possible, preferably in writing.
We take every complaint seriously and strive for an appropriate solution, such as rectification or a (partial) credit.

9. Liability

The liability of Veterinary Clinic Zoo Bijzonder is limited to the amount paid out by the liability insurance.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, unless there is intent or gross negligence.

10. Inspections and certificates

Additional conditions may apply to inspections and (health) certificates. Only the client can derive rights from these.
These services are exclusively governed by Dutch law.

11. Records and privacy

Medical records and imaging (such as X-rays) remain the property of the Veterinary Clinic and are kept in accordance with statutory retention periods.
Personal data is processed according to applicable privacy legislation (GDPR). You may request access or correction.

12. Research and use of data

The Veterinary Clinic may use (anonymized) data and materials for statistical or scientific research, unless you explicitly object to this.

13. Applicable law and disputes

Dutch law applies to all agreements.
Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the district where Veterinary Clinic Zoo Bijzonder is located.
