As with humans, prevention is better than a cure for dogs as well. It is therefore advisable to visit the veterinarian regularly for a nose-to-tail examination, focusing on aspects such as weight, heart health, and dental condition. This can be performed during a preventive vaccination against leptospirosis, infectious tracheobronchitis (kennel cough), or the legally required rabies vaccination if you decide to take your loyal companion abroad. We can also provide the mandatory deworming required for travel to countries such as England.
If you have acquired a new puppy, please schedule an appointment for a health check, puppy vaccinations, and comprehensive advice on care, deciduous teeth inspection, parasite control (worms, fleas, and ticks), and information regarding potential neutering or spaying.
For senior dogs, it may be important to perform preventive blood tests—for instance, prior to surgery at an advanced age—and to provide extra attention to joint health.
